Dr. Lee Jan, a retired Sociology professor, also a known Chinese calligraphy master in Atlanta gave TCMLATL a calligraphy workshop on March 25, 2023. Dr. Jan went over the different styles and purposes of Chinese calligraphy, and showed how they evolved in Chinese history. Audience had an opportunity to feel the different types of brushes and learn their effects on brushstrokes.

TCMLATL also held a calligraphy cultural class in April, 2023. The teacher first introduced the calligraphy art forms, students followed and practiced brushstrokes, exploring the artistic expression of Chinese characters. The class fostered a creative environment, allowing students to engage with Chinese calligraphy and appreciate the discipline required in mastering this traditional art.
