2024 Cultural Class- Mahjong and paper cutting

On May 5th, before the end of the semester, students participated in a cultural class that featured Chinese paper cutting(剪紙）and learning how to play traditional Chinese Mahjong (麻將). They practiced using the correct terms, such as “chī” (eat) 吃, “pèng” (pong) 碰, “gàng” (kong) 槓, “draw one” 拿一張, “my turn” 該我了, “discard” 出牌, and “I won!” 我胡了 as they played. While engaging in these activities, students also enjoyed tea and desserts, making it a fun and immersive experience in Chinese culture.
