2024 Lantern Festival

The Lantern Festival (元宵節) is on the first full moon (15th day) of the Lunar calendar and it marks the end of the traditional 14-day Chinese Lunar New Year holiday (春節) celebration. TCML and Atlanta Chinese School celebrated the 2024 lantern festival on 2/24. In addition to the riddles (燈謎), dragon lanterns, and sky lanterns (天燈) with wishing cards, there were lots of prizes and yummy traditional festival food including the colorful sweet rice balls (湯圓 or 元宵).
