2026 Lunar New Year Celebration

On February 20–21, 2026, students and teachers from TCMLACS and the Atlanta Chinese School Children’s Classes participated in the annual Lunar New Year Festival, joining families, community members, and visitors in celebrating the arrival of the Year of the Horse. This festive community event brought together people of all ages to experience the joy and traditions of the Lunar New Year.
During the celebration, students took the stage to share New Year songs and greetings, including a joyful group performance of the well-known festive song “Gong Xi Gong Xi.” Their performance added warmth and energy to the celebration and reflected the cultural learning taking place in our classrooms.
Students’ families and many visitors from the community also enjoyed a wide variety of cultural activities and performances throughout the event. The lively dragon and lion dances, accompanied by powerful drums and vibrant movements, were a highlight of the festival. In addition, several community groups presented wonderful performances that further enriched the celebration.
The event provided a meaningful opportunity for students, parents, and visitors to come together, celebrate Chinese cultural traditions, and share the festive spirit of the Lunar New Year.
