SUMMARY:2023 World Languages Day
DESCRIPTION:TCMLATL participated in the World Languages Day on 10/19/2023. The event was hosted by The Center for Urban Language Teaching and Research (CULTR)\, a U.S. Department of Education Title VI National Foreign Language Resource Center\, whose role is to promote and improve the teaching and learning of foreign languages. \nThe high School and college students who came to World Languages Day have taken a 2nd or 3rd foreign language class at school. Some students were interested in learning Mandarin Chinese but their schools do not offer Chinese as a choice. Those students were interested in TCMLATL’s online classes. \n

SUMMARY:2023 Story Telling Contest
DESCRIPTION:A story telling contest was conducted on October 28 and 29 in the Atlanta Chinese School and TCML. \nOver 60 Atlanta Chinese School students\, grouped in five levels\, and 8 TCML students\, grouped in two levels\, participated in the Chinese story telling contest. The TCML level one  winners are Hakim Sabur\, Tracy Nguyen\, and Addison Kao. Level 2 winners are Yasuaki Higuchi and Collin Seay. \nChamblee Mayor Brian Mock (in white shirt) happened to visit the Atlanta Chinese School that day and attended the story telling contest. Most contestants dressed up in their Halloween costumes and enjoyed their trick-o-treat after the story telling contest. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nContest Winners\n\n\nAddison\n \n\n\nCollin Seay\n \n\n\nHakim\n \n\n\nTracy\n \n\n\nYas
